New Release at Sasayaki Glitter

Hi..This was a super fun card to create..I coloured the boy and dog in with Polychromos Pencils, then the background with pastel chalks..Then drew around the edge of the image and coloured it in leaving little white circles or part circles..this made a fab frame around the image and made it really fun too..The star was created using a Dutch Doobadoo template I used papers from First editions Nerolli and matted them onto black..I was going to just pop the star on ,then decided it needed a bit of green so I cut a piece of Kanban's Adorable Scoreable that starts from one side one colour then goes to another..Beautiful card stock love it ,so glad I got it now ..I did not emboss it on this occasion though as there was too much going on and I think it was the right decision too.. I layer that with black card too and when it came to the topper I added some of the green that was an off cut and then matted it onto the black so it all blended together..To finish I added some pretty sparkle star gems..Thank you for coming by :)xx

Sketch Saturday Challenge card

Hiya, sorry it has seemed a while since I posted ,but just not feeling good at all with my health lately..For today's I have used a lovely image from MMendel Illustrations..I like her work its different to most gives a feel of folk art and is really nice to colour too..I have chosen this couple as we are now going into the wedding seasons..I am not thrilled with my colouring on this one though as my Polychromos seem to be slipping on the card I was using ..which was the same as usual Neenah ..It kept picking up marks too ,so I think I have just got a piece of dodgy card ..You get that sometime's..I have done the background in pastel chalks for a soft effect....The papers have all been mounted onto craft card as was the image..These are from Tonics Folksy Florals paper pad, which I felt whet nicely with the image as the flowers in the background are nearly the same shape as the ones in the image.. For the cross piece and the horizontal piece I have done the wobbly edge around them to give a bit more interest to them before sticking them down to the main card. and to finish I mounted the topper on with 3D glue gel and wrote Love underneath and popped a line around the heart that just happened to be in the right spot he he ..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Saturday Sketch..Fred she Said Digis

hiya..for today's card I have chosen this lovely image from Fred She Said..It is in digi form and also can be purchased in pre- coloured too ,so it covers all skill levels..They have some really lovely images,so worth having a visit there..I have coloured the image in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card and have used Pastel chalks for the background..I mounted her onto craft card and the backing papers too..These were from First Editions Floral Pavilion and the flags/tags not sure what they are called are cut from odds and ends from my scrap box..Layouts like this are fabulous for using some of the odd bits up.I have draw wavy edges around the patterned papers as I thought it made them look like material..but have left the plain ones alone as when it is sold or given to someone I shall pop the sentiments onto them...I finished with a brought bloom and flower rather than using a star ..You just have to keep close to the layout and can swap a star for flower etc .
Thank you for popping by :0xx

Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Reminder Card

Todays Reminder card was coloured with Polychromos pencils onto Neenah card ,the background was done in pastel chalks to keep it soft..The backing paper is from a remininent of a pad I brought from Lidl a few years back and has encapsulated glitter on it ,so pretty ..and I felt it would go so nicely with the image as it is so suitable for a young boy..This was layered onto yellow linen type  card..I cut a piece of navy and made it into a pennant shape and did some faux stitching in white around it ..I then mounted it on the same yellow card as the background..Placing it across the center of the card. Then returned to the topper, drew around  an oval basic die,Doing this so that the clouds could over hang the cut area.. I fussy cut a wobbly line around the image..It's a good way to camouflage if your not good at cutting ,but in my case I just wanted it that way..I then used the next size die up and cut it in the same yellow card as the rest ,but this time I drew a black wobbly line around the edge to give it a bit more interest..I added the topper to this with 3D glue gel and then added it to the card the same way too ,giving the image height from the main card..To finish three orange larger buttons were added to one side with three yellow smaller buttons to the center of the orange ones..
Thank you for popping by :)xx

Sasayaki New release

For todays New release card I have used my Polychromos to colour the image, then used pastel chalks to colour the soft background behind the image..Then I gave it a quick spritz with Hair Spray to set the chalks..Then used a Dutch Doobadoo template I  cut out the main card while the image was drying ..I created an easel card for this one and used a cream card,,craft card and  then added some pretty Bird paper from one of my Tonic paper pads..I put a funny faux stitch around the paper and craft card to make a feature around it..I did this on both the bottom and the main part..I then created the stop for holding the card in place using the same material and setting it with 3D glue gel..I then popped this to one side to allow the glue to go off..I then cut the topper out and framed that with craft card ,but before doing so I did my funny wiggly stitch around it to give it more of a frame..This was then Stuck in place using the 3D glue ..I cut out the small butterflies in the Tattered Lave Tuck in Butterflies..This I then gently pushed into place and it glued itself in without doing any damage to the topper..or compromising the Glue..I then coloured a number of the tiny butterflies that were left over from the die and sprinkled them around the top..
For the bottom I used Tonic Sweet Melia flower dies and cut them from some pink off cuts ,I coloured the leaves green ,I was going to leave them white, but felt it looked too pale..Once glued into place I added some little wooden flower Buttons I had in my stash ,then topped them off with a pretty sparkly pearl gems.To finish I added a few of the colourd tiny butterflies from the top and it just finished it off perfectly..Thank you for popping by :)xx

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge

Hiya..I am really excited this is my first DT card for WWOPTC..Was amazed that I was asked to join but I am in there ..and the bonus is I get to colour Julia Spiri stamps once more..so its really a very nice surprise for me ,and I kept it secret for a while too lol!..I have been lucky enough to colour Hydrangea..I have used Polychromos Pencils onro Neena card..The background has been done in pencils on this one as I wanted it more vibrant rather than soft..I mounted her onto, purple, lilac then purple to give it a nice frame and used the purple as the matting card for the background papers..The papers I have used are from First Editions Love Letters, and I chose these for the accents of the colours I used in the main pictures, hence giving a contrast and making the image pop more..The flowers to the one side are Joy craft  Hydrangeas..These took ages to do as had to stick the individual bits of flower on the top and with fingers not working it was hard and I think the little buddy who watches me may be wearing a few lol !..These I cut from the off cuts from the purple card,so had little wast..I did have to colour the leaves green though  with a SN pen.. They do look much prettier in real than on the pics..
Thank You for visiting :) xx
